EXHIBITOR INFORMATION

INVITATION TO EXHIBIT

North Pacific Surgical Association is pleased to invite companies with an interest to exhibit at our 98th Annual Meeting being held on November 11-13, 2011 at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver, BC. NPSA was founded in Portland, Oregon in 1912 and is one of the oldest surgical societies in the United States and Canada. We have a membership of over 330 elected surgeons from the Pacific Northwest (Alberta, British Columbia, Oregon and Washington) with caucuses in Portland, Tacoma, Seattle, Spokane, Victoria, BC/Alberta and Vancouver, B.C. General surgeons are our primary audience, with an expected attendance of 100 at this meeting.

The 2011 scientific meeting will present 21 clinical and scientific research papers in areas of clinical surgery, oncology, trauma, critical care, colorectal, breast, bariatric and pediatric surgery. Papers are subsequently published in The American Journal of Surgery. Abstracts from prior meetings can be viewed on our website at www.nopacsurg.org . Continuing medical education credit will be provided by the American College of Surgeons, and MOCOMP by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Our visiting professor this year is an internationally known surgical educator, Dr. O. James Garden, Regius Professor of Clinical Surgery and Head of the Department of Surgery in the School of Clinical Sciences and Community Health at the University of Edinburgh. He is a gifted hepatobiliary transplant surgeon, a surgical historian, and is currently president or past president of many august surgical organizations. He brings a wealth of experience, as a truly gifted public speaker and surgical innovator to the North Pacific and maintains the tradition of outstanding surgical lecturers to this 98th meeting.

We are also having a symposium on complex abdominal wall reconstruction (complex ventral hernia repair). We are going to debate the modalities of repair which will be both informative and helpful to surgeons who repair complex ventral hernias. This is meant to be a factual, "how I do it", take away, messages and techniques for this difficult problem. Most surgeons experience these difficult abdominal wall reconstructions sometime in their career and this should be of interest to the vast majority of the members of the North Pacific Surgical Association. And lastly, we are supporting a satellite symposium for pediatric surgery on Sunday morning the 13th of November. This will be organized by Dr. Robert Sawin.

Exhibitor fees for a table and registration for 2 representatives starts at $1,500 USD, at $2,500 for 3 representatives, and $5,000 for 4 representatives with double display space. Exhibitor companies receive recognition on our website and program book.

You will have a display table in the exhibitor area near the conference hall and can talk with attendees over breakfast and session breaks. You may also join attendees at the Friday evening New Members Reception and Dinner at additional cost.

Please contact our organizer, Chris Wong at chris.wong@seattlechildrens.org or phone 206-987-3664 with any questions about the event. I thank you and look forward to your interest and partnership with NPSA’s annual surgical conference.

Sincerely,

Charles H. Scudamore, MD
President
